I found yoga at mid-life. After trying a number of different yoga styles, I walked into a steamy power yoga class and haven’t been the same since. It was a reincarnation of sorts. After that class I was physically exhausted, emotionally elated, calm, and content at the same time. I felt alive. Now pretty much everything I do is done through the lens and practice of yoga. I practice yoga to get grounded; to be challenged; to clear away the cruft and toxins that are just part of everyday life. I’m rarely disappointed. Doing yoga always leaves me refreshed, smiling and a more loving human being; just ask my kids.
I went on to become a registered yoga teacher (RYT) at the 200 hour level through the Yoga Alliance and have continued my study with well over 300 additional hours of training from many internationally known yoga teachers.
